COMPLETED PROJECTS

The heart of this Westcliff home is definitely the family room and adjoining study. We originally decorated it over 10 years ago using bright cherry reds but now it was time to bring it up to speed, using a colour palette of on trend navy blue with touches of vivid yellows. The results were terrific and the family adore it!

I was fortunate enough to be involved in this livingroom transformation: I added new curtains, a stunning wallpaper (that looks like vintage wooden strips) reupholstered the sleeper couch in a durable vinyl, added more comfy seating and a fabulous rug...[even the dog loves his new space!]

In this bright livingroom we added light stone-coloured plantation shutters to the expansive windows and doors. Using the clients existing corner sofa as the base, I added a rustic limewashed coffee table (made from recycled wood), 2 store-bought armchairs, a quirky clock sidtable and finally, some gorgeous plump feather scatter cushions made up in a selection of fabrics, in unusual tangerine and duckegg colourways. The end result: a comfortable, casual space in which to absorb some Vitamin D, drink coffee, lounge and read - the perfect weekend spot! Now we're just waiting for budget to add a floorrug to pull the space together

The owners of this home in Modderfontein wanted a revamp of their lounge area. I replaced the sofas with more comfortable upholstered large 3 seaters, brightened with accent scatters in a fun feather fabric from Hertex and accent mandarin geometric ones. I replaced the curtains with custom wave drops made up in a soft stone linen-look fabric. A basket-weave rug pulls the seating area together, grounded by a hand-made bamboo coffee table (the matching tv unit is on the opposite wall, where I relocated the large tv to) And then the accessorizing began: mirrored tray with stylish objet, a 3d bamboo Kudu trophy and feature clock adorn the chimney and family photos in hand-selected frames are grouped together on the right hand side.

The transformation of this lounge was truly astounding! The new owners wanted a comfortable updated look: somewhere they could unwind in after a long day at the office....think fireplace, big squishy sofas and a glass of vino.

This client's spacious, sunny lounge area needed an update. I started off by relocating the rug to another room and replacing it with a more neutral one. The very comfy (and sentimental) wingbacks were reupholstered in a textured plain. We made up new wave style curtains using a long-lasting plain stone fabric and tinted blockout lining (a MUST with South African sunshine, as it protects the curtain fabric) These new curtains were installed much higher up than the original ones, creating a feeling of "height". Some fluffy feather scatters were added in stunning fabrics from Whatnot Fabrics onto the existing leather sofas. The next phase for this room is a coffee table, sidetables, some art and accessories...but we're happy to "build" on rooms as and when you have the budget
