This couple wanted an injection of interest in their bland main bedroom. We added simple mahogany bedside tables, lamps with curtom-shades in a striped velvet. Scatters cushions added some punch and the finishing touch was an aubergine throw for the end of the bed, which just tied the whole scheme together.

This twenty-something year old wanted a more grown-up space to sleep, study and chill in. We added a soft, textured feather embellished wallpaper, reupholstered her headboard in a glam vinyl, added new crisp cotton bedlinen and scatters. On the opposite wall we removed dated built-in shelves and painted a soft duck-egg accent colour, added a trip-tych of ornately framed mirrors, some crystal knobs on all cupboards and drawers and finally styled the dresser/desk with some stylish accessories.

The transformation of this client's main bedroom was too gorgeous for speech! The brief was: get rid of the cherrywood colour formica cupboard, and bring in some glitz and glam. We started by removing one of the side cupboards to make space for this glorious four-poster bed, then we painted out the cherrywood cupboards and added new handles. The old curtains and blinds were stripped off and the entire room repainted in a soft grey colour. Wave curtains made up with a shimmery sheer and a glittery damask wallpaper elevated the look

This newly divorced mom of two wanted something more "girly" and whimsical in her bedroom. She adores roses and so we sourced this wallpaper mural of larger-than-life roses to adorn the main wall. We reupholstered her headboard in a silver vinyl, added some luxurious grey velvet scatters and crisp new white cotton bedlinen. On the opposite wall we hung a beautiful venetian glass mirror which reflects the sheer delight of the wallpaper while she rests up!

It's so exciting to be given free-reign on a room! This main bedroom needed to be sophisticated and elegant with a soft colour palette and touches of floral.

I started with a tall buttoned headboard in a neutral grey colour. This was flanked by the most beautiful botanical prints framed with mirror. Below the artwork, new bedside pedestals with enough space for glamorous lamps (mother of pearl shell bases) Brand new crisp white cotton bedlinen, a muted throw and some soft, puffy feather scatter cushions finished off the bed. I added wave curtains using a neutral linen-look fabric from Hertex; this softens up the room. An oversized vintage rug made the concrete floors seem less stark. 3 Printed protea canvases were hung opposite the bed and the last item to go in will be an upholstered chaise longue for lazy days with a book.

Our best is transforming rooms! This main bedroom was crying out for us: we repainted the entire room (including the cupboards, which we added long stainless steel handles to) ripped out the old curtains and replaced them with sleek new roman blinds, did a swift decluttering, added a chocolate velvet headboard and finished off the look with new bedlinen, accent scatters and a pair of beautiful lamps. Happy clients make for happy days!

This main bedroom needed a bit of zhoozhing up! Team houselift to the rescue....we installed new wave curtains (sheer in front and blockout on the back track) We reupholstered the existing headboard and made up a new bedbase cover in a smoky grey fabric, stitched up some bespoke feather scatters in soft shades of velvet and added a printed canvas to the wall under the aircon. The end result is a winner
