This clients’ main bedroom desperately needed a spruce up and I was delighted to be given the task; nothing better than a blank slate to work from!

We started by choosing a wallpaper; keeping it calm and textured in neutral stones, slight shimmers and creams. A customised buttoned headboard not only adds a grandeur but also a degree of comfort. The bedside pedestals were custom made by one of our clever artisans; oak veneer with steel leg details. Gorgeous bedside lamps add a chic element. New cotton bedlinen and scatters amped up the glam on the bed. Then we reupholstered an existing armchair and added a footstool for lazy days with a book.

This client has been waiting patiently to transform their main bedroom. Out with the old and in with the new; carpets, cupboards, bed, pedestals, wave curtains and of course this feature wallpaper! And now their main bedroom looks like a dream space in which to unwind and relax.

This tired guest bedroom was crying out for some Houselift love- and we were so happy to step in.

We refreshed the space with soft wave curtains made up in a neutral sheer, with a blockout lining behind. Our talented manufacturer made up a beautifully buttoned headboard and a slipper chair which we paired with a store-bought side table and created a perfect little corner to unwind. New crisp cotton bedlinen, luxurious accent scatters, and a few bits and bobs, helped finish off the look.

With very limited space on either side of the bed, we opted for sleek floating bedside drawers and suspended pendant lights installed from the ceiling - saving space while adding a modern feel.

I always joke that you shouldn't make your guest bedrooms too beautiful...you might struggle to get your guests to leave. But in this case, our clients love having sporadic visitors - so we think it's worth the risk.

Everyone deserves a beautiful bedroom! A sanctuary, a place to escape the harsh

world... and that's what I helped this client create 🤍 We made up a new buttoned headboard with a

matching fabric bed base, flanked by bespoke bedside pedestals made up in an oak veneer.

Lovely feather accent scatters just add a pop of colour and interest to the bed.

The old sisal rug was thrown out and replaced by and easy-to-clean polypropylene rug.

An old armchair was given a new lease on life by being reupholstered in a lighter fabric. We added a clear

glass sidetable, some faux greenery in a vase and some objet. We commissioned three floral watercolours which were

then framed up and hung on the wall above the chair. The dressing table got a piece of glass ontop, a stylish

mirrored tray and a custom made storage box/seat (to house hair dryers/ straighteners, and brushes) We also

reframed the existing mirror in a beautiful chunky frame.

All in all, this room was another success story, making what I do each day, nothing but a pleasure.

We originally designed this main bedroom for our clients over twelve years ago, and it was time for a refresh

We focused on elevating the space while working with key existing elements. We made up new pinch pleats curtains in a neutral stone fabric, hung on the original wrought-iron rods, and removed the side curtains to create a lighter, more open feel with the addition of streamlined roller blinds.

The existing headboard, bed-base and blanket box were beautifully reupholstered, complemented by scatter cushions in a rust-coloured chenille.

Crisp white cotton bedding and a luxurious soft throw complete the layered, inviting look, while updated lampshades add a refined finishing touch.

While this was all being done, our expert painters refreshed the walls and ceilings, bringing a renewed sense if brightness to the room.

A timeless update - beautifully refreshed and ready for many more years to come.

Your bedroom is supposed to be your sanctuary, you refuge from this crazy world.

For these clients, their bedroom caused them more stress than serenity and asked me to help them

transform it. We removed the old clumsy curtains and rods and replaced them with custom made sheer and separate

blockout wave drops (this means privacy with the option to draw the lining for a dark nights sleep) They

were trepidatious about the dark walls that I suggested but we powered through and watched the space

instantly become more dramatic (contrary to popular belief, a dark wall colour makes a room seem bigger

and not smaller 😉) Our painting team painted the built in cupboards in a light stone colour; instantly updating

them. Their headboard was sent off for reupholstering in a tan faux-leather while a custom-made blanket box

was being manufactured for the end of their bed (the perfect storage for handbags, blankets and spare linen)

This bedroom transformation elicited such a positive reaction from these clients who now WANT to spend

time in their own space, which makes us incredibly happy.

This client was super excited to revamp her bedroom after many years; as a busy executive she didn’t have the time to be overly involved and so gave me free rein. I started with a gorgeous printed floral fabric from Hertex and used it as the main curtain and blind fabric. We painted the walls and the cherrywood cupboards in a soft oatmeal colour to freshen up the shell of the room. My team of upholsterers made up a flat studded headboard which backed a brand new bed with a hotel-quality set of new bed basics and crisp Egyptian cotton bedlinen. The bed was finished off with a luxurious fur throw and some dusty pink scatters. The shelving units were styled with new objet, vases, containers, frames, flowers and greenery. A light grey nguni hide helped warm up the painted floor. An accent painted wall highlighted the newly framed artwork collection. There were lots of (happy) tears when the room was revealed and followed up by an email saying “”I am absolutely delighted with what you have managed to achieve here and will recommend you to anybody who is remotely interested – thank you so much!!”
