PROJECT ONE

Here’s one of the the prettiest nurseries I’ve ever created for baby Sesona, a few years ago. We painted the walls in a soft grey, changed the nasty light fitting, made up custom white spotty sheer wave curtains, stuck on a removal floral vinyl wall decal and laser cut name in rose gold. The finishing touches were a gorgeous round rug, rocking chair and some cute bits and bobs. I couldn’t wait to reveal the finished look in a huge tah-dah moment to the mom-to-be.

PROJECT TWO

Team Houselift to the rescue for this tweens bedroom space! We stripped everything out, repainted the walls in a soft grey then used a calendar inspiration to print up canvases and carried the pastel colour palette through to the bed accessories and scatters. We opted for a roller blind instead of curtains to allow more use of space in front of the window and rearranged the furniture to open up the room. A bespoke dressing table with a vintage mirror added a soft feminine touch. This surprise room makeover was met with tears and joy by this lucky girl!

PROJECT THREE

This tween boy had outgrown his bedroom and the airplane theme. Team Houselift to the rescue! We repainted the whole room, removed the tatty curtains and instead chose to install a more practical and sleek roller blind. We custom made a bedside pedestal and large desk which is perfect for home-schooling. Then with the brief of sun, surf and sea I sourced these images and had them printed onto wall canvases; cost effective enough to swop them out when boredom sets in. This teen was beyond chuffed with his new room space! Mission accomplished..

PROJECT FOUR

This client’s daughters decided to stop sharing a room and she asked me to turn an unused study area into her child’s new bedroom. We started by removing all the built in cupboards (there is a separate dressing area attached), we redid the flooring, gave the room a lick of paint and then added a Cara Saven wall mural in soft muted hues that will last as she grows. A double bed and practical desk area finished off the room; along with, of course, some furry dusty pink accessories.

PROJECT FIVE

This blessed tween got the room of her dreams as a surprise birthday present! A combined effort between her mom and I, meant we pulled this off in 48 hours….New muslin,fairy-light wrapped bed canopy covers her existing bed with new linen and decorative pillows. Her mom found a stunning 1930’s mirrored sidetable and sprayed an existing tressle table in rose gold which will be used as a desk space. We rehung treasured pictures (mostly original Tracy Paul artwork) and rearranged a few key items and tah-dah! This delighted girl sent me a message after she’d danced around her “new room” in excitement; “You are like the best person EVER!!!! Thank you so much for an amazing room makeover! It’s AWESOME!!!”

PROJECT SIX

I thought I’d showcase a nursery I decorated for these very special twins. Their mom chose this unicorn wallpaper with touches of pink, blue and silver and left the rest up to me. We custom-made matching cots with fabulous storage drawers underneath as well as a double compactum complete with plastic-covered fabric compactum cushions. Team Houselift made up the cute house shelves; perfect for stuffed toys to live in. A three seater sofa was vital for feeding time – this was made up in a wipeable, super durable velvet. The animals-blowing-bubbles prints were always on the nursery decor radar and so we sourced them, framed and hung them.

For the curtains we used our trusted wave tracks with a front sheer drop and a backing blockout lining.
